PROVIDING FREE
PROGRAMS
for underserved youth and families in Springfield
WHAT WE DO
Our organization was created to support youth from underserved communities in Greater Springfield, helping them build confidence, graduate, and pursue either higher education or sustainable employment. Our mission is to empower youth to believe in themselves, reach their full potential, and break the cycle of poverty.

HYF has purchased the former CityStage community theater. Our goal is to transform it into a multidisciplinary Arts Center with state-of-the-art facilities for theater of all kinds, music of all kinds, dance of all kinds, and a creative art studio for both visual and media arts. We have created an Advisory board that consists of all known arts programs in our region. The plan for this space is that we will provide facilities and outreach to students in the community, and our experts from our partner organizations will provide programming.

We work directly with students and counselors in public middle and high schools, offering programs in remedial reading, career development, and college preparation. Through our Arts Center, we aim to fill the gap in arts education, providing students with exposure to culture, the beauty of art and creativity, and new career opportunities. The center also offers a space for self-expression, confidence-building, friendship, and mentorship.
